School

Woodinville Country Day School offers a Preschool Program, Enrichment, Summer Camps, and other engaging opportunities for various ages. Our School’s mission is to foster the love of learning in every child. We use a play-based, thematic curriculum that allows for discovery, curiosity, and hands-on experience. We provide a school experience where children learn by doing and where the environment and curriculum are in tune with the personal characteristics of each student.

History

Our Woodinville Country Day School was originally founded as the Bellevue Country Day School in 1953, in Bellevue, Washington The previous owner, Debbie Hayes, has a love for science and the scientific process of discovery. She owned the school for 19 years and the curriculum reflects her passion. In 2014, the building in Bellevue was purchased, so BCDS needed a new home. We found the perfect location in Woodinville, directly across the street from Cottage Lake, in a setting that complements our incredible programs. We decided to rename the school Woodinville Country Day School to represent our new era & community.

Staff

Facility

Our campus is located on a 4-acre piece of property, down the street from Cottage Lake Park! Conveniently located for Woodinville, Redmond, Duvall, Kirkland, Bothell, and Snohomish communities. We have 4 huge classrooms inside our 6,000 square foot building, as well as 2 large bathrooms, a kitchen, and an office. Our playground stretches the width of the property and includes multiple play structures, a “city” for pedaling bikes and trikes, a basketball court, and even a boat. The back of our property is a long stretch of grass for kids to run a play on! It also houses our chicken coop with 4 resident hens, and our 40’x40′ garden! Each year the kids plant and maintain vegetables in our garden! We have an abundance of apples and blackberries, which are used to make applesauce and blackberry jam in the fall! Each section of the property is fenced in and kept locked. Parents are given a security code to enter the building. Please contact us to schedule a tour of this amazing location.
